Development of insulating bodies and systems capable of passive seismic vibration protection for sensitive infrastructures against various forms of civil security disturbances. Cooperation Partners: IAB Weimar, Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, TPH Bausysteme GmbH, Universal Bau GmbH, 2017-2020.

The project aims at providing different forms of shielding measures for sensitive infrastructures: such as living spaces, energy and communication supply lines and network points, mobility and logistics infrastructures, due to various forms of disturbances. These disturbances can arise from urban boundary conditions, such as traffic or major accidents, from natural disasters, such as earthquakes or floods etc. The research is also in accordance to the brochure published by the federal government in November 2016 with the topic of civil security research "The new high-tech strategy innovations for Germany". The focus is on developing solutions that guarantee the protection of the population and critical infrastructures from damage caused by natural disasters, major accidents etc., thus helping to increase people's security and quality of life and to strengthen the civil economic security.
